Prelim task - Magazine

To make this image i took these pictures on a
digital camera and transferred them to my computer,
I then edited them on adobe Photoshop to remove their backgrounds
to make the images stand out more. I then added columns at the bottom
to give an example of things that i will be showing in my magazine
and what pages you will be able to find them on.
I used images of food also because there will be pages about food in school
so they are relevant to the magazine.
This is an image of my main front cover which shows a main image
of one of my classmates which i edited on adobe Photoshop to remove
the background and i added the masthead which i created on adobe InDesign
I then added the Puff which i made on adobe InDesign and i changed the
colour of the writing to make it stand out more so that the reader can see
whether they are buying an up-to-date magazine or an old one.

This is my double page spread, the centre image is me and my classmates
in lesson working on the first part of coming up with our own college magazines
and how to lay them out. We started off studying different magazines and how they are
laid out differently and why the font and colour matches what the magazine
is about. We were also learning a few basic things like what the masthead, puff,
cover stories, headline e.t.c are.

  1. Very good prelim outcome here Sam, but it is all over the place on your blog. Please place everything to the left and justify it.
See me tomorrow and we will rectify these issues. Text can be extended to include mis en scene and codes and conventions.
